Resort & Site Info

Beaverfoot Resort Development is a unique Deeded Parcel or Fee Simple Lands between Golden, British Columbia and Banff, Alberta, 7 miles to the south of the Trans-Canada Highway and CPR Rail Line in the Canadian Rockies. It is located on the western border of Yoho National Park and west of Banff National Park completely surrounded by thousands of acres of Crown Land.

This development project consists of redeveloping four 40 acre parcels of land for a combined total of 160 acres and the open zoning allows for immediate development. The onus is on the developer to set its own stringent building requirements and designs subject to Health Regulation, Environmental Regulations and National Building codes. In addition, the property features a commercial recreational lease of 300 square miles in Yoho National Park. This lease was renewed for 20 years in 2002.

The Beaverfoot Resort Development property has been a destination of choice for decades. The existing lodge was built in 1928: a two storey log building with eleven separate rooms. The lodge presently operates under the name of Beaverfoot Lodge and offers visitors a host of recreational activities.

Opportunities for JV operation and development onsite are available.

Its close to the Beaverfoot Resort Development is the town of Golden: approximately ½ hour drive to the west on the Trans-Canada Highway. Golden is home to the Canadian Rockies newest alpine resort: Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The gondola and other ski lifts open the terrain up for 4133 vertical feet / 1260 meters of unbelievable powder, attracting skiers and snowboarders from all corners of the world: the second highest vertical in Canada.
